Hey engineers!

Lots of small fixes and tweaks can be found here and there in this update, but most importantly: we've started introducing final improvements to Learning Factory's terrain visuals! More on that below.

v0.99.192 Released!

  • Added shadows for the shorelines
  • Selected Ruins re-rendered
  • Added a new stat in the Statistics tab
  • Algorithm for spawning cats slightly changed for the first 2 hours of the game
  • Increased intervals for triggering certain in-game events, especially in the early game
  • Cats start requesting Fish a bit later in the game
  • Decreased cost for crafting Quality (+) Catnip Juice
  • Decreased cost for researching Hill Manipulators
  • Zeppelins crafting cost slightly decreased (suggested by Дима Тертичный)
  • Added a new trade deal
  • Certain trade deal conditions in Trade Ports were changed
  • Cat Knowledge Archives now provide science points not only upon pickup but also when activated on the Research Tree
  • Added a bunch of misc sounds for the character moving around and placing buildings
  • Added an option for regulating the frequency of cats meowing
  • Improved logic for triggering music and sounds
  • Activating snapping to line mode now has a visual effect (suggested by Дима Тертичный)
  • Added accessibility settings for sounds triggered upon hovering in-game elements
  • Improved tutorials
  • Added animations for selected tutorials
  • Improved copywriting for the English language
  • UI/UX updates
  • Performance optimization
  • Improved Steam Deck interface
  • Bug fixes (kudos to Nameless, Дима Тертичный, vault boy gamehag.com)
  • A new animated background added to Steam Points Shop

Re: Factory

In this section of patch notes, we answer the questions from the community that were submitted via the in-game feedback form and/or seemed especially interesting to us.

Q: Not sure if these are meant to be like that or not but when the credit scene rolls (at least the part with the ship) if i moved my mouse i could see the name of things on the map (i could also harvest and remove them). Also when building the ship, a few times it said i completed the part when i only gave 2 things instead of 3 (so if it asked for 100a, 50b and 300c and i gave it 100a and 300c it closed itself and said its done) -Nameless
A: We've fixed the bug with the tooltips, thanks for pointing that out. As for filling the Catopia Ark, it does not require all the items, just a bunch for you to select from. You can see the overall amount of items needed in the tooltip.
