Dear friends,

We have several big pieces of news for you today. Steam Programming Fest has started, which is a pretty important occasion for people who enjoy programming, automation, and making tiny machines do all the work for them.

And yes, there is some nice sale news too — but first, let’s talk about what’s happening with our games.

The SuperWEIRD open playtest starts today

You may remember us talking about SuperWEIRD, our new automation roguelite for 1–4 players.

The idea is simple in theory, which is usually where trouble begins: you build a production network, send worker bots to craft and deliver everything your operation needs, and let fighting bots deal with the Goofy Goo trying to ruin your carefully engineered plans. Along the way, you literally piece a broken planet back together, strengthen your factory, and experiment with different strategies from run to run.

And today, the open playtest begins.

So come in, bring your friends, and try automating together. One person can make a perfectly sensible production line while the other three discover exciting new ways to break it.

Craftomation 101 is finally leaving Early Access very soon

And now for another game full of tiny robots.

Remember Craftomation 101?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1724140/Craftomation_101_Programming__Craft/

You arrive on a frozen planet and program a crew of little robots using visual code. They gather resources, automate crafting, keep production running, and gradually turn a very cold piece of space rock into something considerably more alive. The better your programs become, the more your robotic workforce can take care of itself — at least until you decide to improve everything and accidentally redesign half the factory.

Craftomation 101 entered Early Access back in February 2024.

Since then, it has grown enormously. We added generated maps, expanded the programming possibilities, added a lot of new systems and features, and generally turned the game into something much bigger than the version we originally released.

There is simply much more to do now — and, more importantly, many more interesting ways to do it.

And on September 14, Craftomation 101 is finally leaving Early Access.

If you already own it, download the new version on September 14 and see what all those tiny robots have been doing for the last two and a half years.

If you don’t own it yet — well, this is a pretty good moment to start programming some robots.

And yes, there is a sale

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1150090/Learning_Factory/

To celebrate Programming Fest, starting today and for the next two weeks, Learning Factory, Craftomation 101, and our other games are discounted.

So if there is something from our little collection of programming, automation, robots, factories, and questionable engineering decisions that you have been meaning to try, now is a good time.

Our DLCs are discounted too.

All our Learning Factory DLCs are also discounted during the sale.

It’s been a while since we shared what’s going on with us — and actually, quite a lot is happening behind the scenes. First of all, we’re still working. From the office. No matter what. 💪 Second, we’re deep into developing SuperWEIRD and actively playtesting it in the browser. And oh boy — you’ve sent us a lot of comments and feedback. We’re carefully digging through all of it now…
