The work is nearing completion!

Hello! I've been working on "Hail to the Rainbow" for five years now. Crazy timing, especially for an indie. The process is intense and emotionally difficult. With each new game you try to invest more and more, pay attention to details, you want to make everything as perfect as possible, and this makes development time longer

I finally completed the base of the game, finished all the locations, mechanics and started polishing the project. In general, there is still a lot of work, but the finale is already visible ahead. Last week I played the entire project for the first time, from start to finish. Walkthrough took about 10 hours!

Also, the voice acting for the game was recently completed. For the first time in my project there will be English voice acting. In my practice, this is a big and difficult step, I hope, despite the nuances, it will be a pleasant addition for players :)

It’s not often possible to share the results and remind that work is moving forward, but sometimes I share various materials in public pages. I will give a few examples here.

By the way, I’d also like to take this opportunity to announce that Hail to th…Game update4 Jun 2026Update 1.08A small technical update, version 1.08, has been released. · Some of the game's core system files have been reworked to improve build stability. · Shader memory retention has been disabled, which could previously lead to cache overflow issues. Shader loading speed should remain unchanged overall. · Added an FPS limit setting. VSync does not always work correctly, so on lower-end systems a manua…Community17 Apr 2026Article about the project’s development. Working with lighting.Hi everyone! I’ve published a new article on Habr about working with lighting in Hail to the Rainbow . Unfortunately, it’s only available in Russian. I’ve had a series of development-focused articles planned for a long time, but before the release I just couldn’t find the time to publish them. In this one, I cover various methods and approaches to lighting, including lightmapping, shadow setup,…
