These developer notes provide a detailed summary of all the changes, improvements, and bug fixes we've worked on so far. Each version note outlines the new features and systems we developed, as well as how we resolved issues in existing systems.

Summary of Developer Notes V1-V18:



Developments and New Features:


  • Installation and development of fundamental infrastructures such as the realistic locomotion system, realistic weapon system, and level planning (V1).
  • Addition of game mechanics like the UV mechanics system, story-based save and load system, object pickup, and inventory system (V2-V7).
  • Implementation of the menu system, authorized door lock system, and creation of AI characters (V8-V12).
  • Creation of a detailed FPS camera system, character skill system, and various new abilities (V15-V17).
  • Addition of player movement and interaction mechanics like the character dashing and restriction system (V18).


Bug Fixes and Improvements:

  • Resolution of various technical issues such as character navigation system errors, reloading and taking ammunition animations, and the UV mechanics timer (V1-V3).
  • Enhancements in details like light materials, physical material sounds, and animation durations (V4-V5).
  • Fixes for save and load system issues, camera errors, and performance problems in the inventory system (V7-V10).
  • Optimization of mission system, AI direction update systems, and environment design (V11-V15).
  • Performance updates and improvements related to new abilities and FOV settings (V16-V18).

These notes have been prepared to detail the progress of our project and document the work done. They serve as a reference point to track which features have been added, which bugs have been fixed, and what improvements have been made.

  • Improved climbing mechanics on the 'IK' method

Developer Notes V2


  • UV mechanics system established

  • Fixed ammunition reloading error in the weapon system
  • Adjusted jumping distance in the movement system
  • Fixed loading error due to height differences in the level
  • Restructured texture dimensions of background mechanisms in the level

  • Created reloading and taking ammunition animations and ammunition system

  • Fixed timer error in UV mechanics
  • Configured LOD settings of the UV lighting object
  • Reduced the texture quality of the object to the general size

  • Established realistic flashlight system
  • Created a system for different footstep sounds based on the physical material

Fixes

  • Synchronized the duration of reload and ammunition take animations with the mechanics
  • Fixed incorrect variable type in the ammunition system
  • Improved the timing of sound effects in the animation

  • Added transition conditions between UV and flashlight
  • Created animations for the flashlight system

Fixes

  • Redesigned the light material used in the flashlight system to enhance realism
  • Installed 8 new materials in the physical material system and renamed them

  • Adjusted the position of buttons in the menu system
  • Improved visual effect lighting for menu design

  • Created a system for bullet impact sound and trace based on the physical material

  • Disabled a performance module causing slow texture loading in the inventory system

  • Configured LOD settings for objects causing fps drop in environment design
  • Performed optimization works on environment design
  • Fixed a delay error in character conditions

  • Established character skill system
  • Developed 'Eternal Sight' skill

  • Improved the location of the new camera system
  • Determined new player field of view (FOV)
  • Made animation improvements for the new FOV setting
  • Adjusted weapon and hand positions for the new FOV setting
  • Fixed an error in the door lock system that caused the lock not to be recognized

  • Created a throwable and recallable knife system

  • Added simultaneous limitations to the new skill system

  • Improved the speeds of animations in the breath-holding system
  • Fixed the calculation code for the condition in the breath-holding system, now works more consistently
  • Fixed an animation error causing an issue with recalling the throwable knife
  • Updated the visual effect location while the knife is returning, now follows the knife
  • Fixed the shadow of the hand in the camera angle in the breath-holding system
