# The Arena Update — Patch Notes
A major new update has arrived! This release introduces an entirely new game mode, a new map, additional weapons, powerful Legendary Items, new synergies, and a dangerous Arena boss.
## New Game Mode: Arena
Enter the Arena and fight through increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
* Face escalating enemy encounters.
* Adapt your build as the challenge grows.
* Purchase new equipment during your run.
* Survive long enough to confront the Arena’s final boss.
* Experiment with different weapons, items, and synergy combinations.
## New Arena Map
A brand-new map designed specifically for Arena Mode has been added.
## Six New Weapons
Six new weapons are now available for purchase in the Arena shop.
Each weapon offers a different combat style and creates new opportunities for specialized builds and powerful combinations.
## Legendary Items
Legendary Items have been added to the game.
These rare and powerful rewards can dramatically change the course of a run by providing unique effects that go far beyond standard upgrades.
## New Synergies
A new synergy system expands the number of possible build combinations.
Certain weapons, upgrades, and Legendary Items can now interact with each other to unlock additional effects and significantly increase their power.
Discovering the right combinations will be an important part of mastering Arena Mode.
## New Arena Boss: Rat Lizard
The Rat Lizard has joined the Arena as a new boss encounter.
The Arena Update greatly expands build variety and introduces a completely new way to play. Try the new weapons, hunt for Legendary Items, discover powerful synergies, and prove how long you can survive.
