This is the first devlog of our game Destructure: Among Debris!

A very big chunk of the game is already complete and we are currently working on a demo that will be joining Steam Next Fest this summer!
So what is Destructure: Among Debris?
First of all check this new trailer that we’ve made to showcase our game better:
As you can see from the trailer (and from the title itself, of course), the game is very much about destruction. We’ve put a lot of effort into visual/audio feedback and making the carnage feel as satisfying as possible.
We’ve also been working on tweaking and perfecting the progression system which is heavily inspired by roguelikes like Binding of Isaac. The main idea is to make each gameplay session distinct with the help of perks that heavily modify your offensive and defencive capabilities.
Here’s how the upgrade screen looks like:
Once you get far enough into the game and beat harder optional levels, you’ll get access to even crazier toys. For example this combination of perks allows for ridiculous amount of balls in levels:
Right now we are finalizing our development with boring stuff like UI that we’ve, of course, decided to leave for the last. So check out this cool level selection screen as well:
