Ovrlay's first update was just released, fixing stability issues that occurred when either 1) Discord was not running when Ovrlay started, or 2) Discord was shut down while Ovrlay was running. You should still make sure your VR headset is plugged in before starting Ovrlay. The easiest way to force a Steam update is to just exit Steam fully and restart it.

Community20 Nov 2021Ovrlay Update ReleasedAfter confirming in beta, the fix for Ovrlay has been released to all users. There is now a quick one-time setup with instructions that will launch when you start Ovrlay. As a reminder, you can set Ovrlay to automatically start when you run SteamVR by going to SteamVR > Settings > Startup / Shutdown > Choose Startup Overlay Apps. Thank you for all of your patience! Unfortunately a Discord update broke Ovrlay's functionality. A workaround has been prototyped -- it is similar to the workaround used by StreamDeck-Discord .
