Shack Animator 2D is coming to Android
Whether you already animate with Shack Animator 2D or you're just looking for a 2D animation and drawing app for your tablet — the Android version is here, and you can get early access right now.
It's the full frame-by-frame animation and drawing studio, rebuilt for tablets:
- Responsive raster brush engine with custom presets and brush packs
- Import your own Photoshop brushes (.abr) — bring your existing brush library straight into the app
- Layers with blend modes, opacity and transforms
- Real-time timeline with keyframes and onion skinning
- AI Inbetweener — generate in-between frames from your own drawings, computed on-device
- Audio layers, image import, and MP4 export

We want Shack Animator 2D in as many hands as possible, so the Android edition will be free for everyone.
Stylus support
Shack Animator 2D works with any pressure-sensitive stylus — full pressure and tilt.
- A pen with a side button is ideal: hold the button to lock straight lines while you draw.
- No button? No problem — everything works great with a plain pressure pen, and finger drawing is supported too.
The Samsung S Pen is a perfect match, but any active stylus will do.
How to get early access
- Email the Gmail address of your Google account (the one on your Android tablet) to [email protected]
- We'll add you and send back your access link
- Open the link, tap "Become a tester", then install "Shack Animator 2D Portable" from Google Play
You'll need an Android 8.0+ tablet.
