THE CITY, REDRAWN
The biggest update Noir Lords has had.
Good news first: you do not have to relearn anything. Same crew, same cases, same brutal rule that one loss ends the run. No new mode to figure out, no systems bolted on.
What I did instead was go back through the whole game, fix the stuff that was actually bothering you, and change the look of literally every screen.
It looks and moves like a different game
- New combat animations. Every kind of swing has its own now, so you can read a fight as it happens instead of watching numbers quietly change.
- A better card design. New frames, new layout, the numbers that actually matter where you can find them.
- Better screens and pages across the board. Menu, shop, hub, collection.
- Smoother transitions. Real moves between screens instead of hard cuts.
The game explains itself now
Cards and pages tell you what they actually do, in plain words, at the moment you need to know.
And when the short version is not enough: right click any card to turn it over and read the full detail. Anywhere! Mid fight, in the shop, in your collection.
Difficulty and balance
- The difficulty curve was adjusted end to end. Just as important: it is built so I can move it now. If a stretch of the campaign lands wrong for you, say so. From here, that is a tuning pass and not a rewrite.
- Enemy cards took buffs and nerfs. Some were carrying whole fights on their own. Some were never worth fielding.
- Dread got a general nerf. It was the strongest lever in the game by a distance, and it should not be the answer to every wall you run into.
Achievements
New achievements, and a tracker in the game to go with them. The set stands at thirty-two hit Record in the header and see exactly where every one of them sits, earned or not.
Outside the game
New store page, new trailer, new screenshots.
Upcoming surprise
Online. It exists. It is built and it runs. Online gameplay is actually the sole reason for this big change. But I want it working properly before I put it in your hands, so it is not switching on with this update. It gets its own, and it gets an update when it is ready.
