The first post-release major update for Nexoria is here! In this update combat system has been seriously changed, as well as multiple edits to the balance, a new mode, a new hero, and movement in the dungeon has become more user-friendly.
1. Characters in battle are now placed in invisible cells. Half of the cells are given to heroes, and half to enemies.
2. The cells are free to move in. Heroes have six cells, and characters are four. So you can move forward, move backwards, and you don't have to replace the hero.
3. Now, for a melee attack, the character will come to the front line. Thus, not only one character will take almost all the damage, you need to think about melee and long range combat.
4. Moving between cells now does not end the turn! Yes, you can step back and use the card. However, since the attack automatically uses moving to the first line, if you move to any other cell than first one, you will not be able to attack in close combat on this turn.
Now there's a one-level "quick play" dungeon mode, made especially for the demo version, but it's also perfect if you want to check something or test a new hero. Yes, now there is a demo version with the "quick play" mode! Also the demo version doesn't offer all the heroes, but it is a great way to learn the game.
Because of the new battle system, the game needs to pick long-range heroes. So welcome Archer! Her attack is completely long-range and does not require any movement.
Many cells in the dungeons are now marked with an icon. You can see where your enemies are, where your treasure is, and where random events are. However, this will not save you from some traps or some random events that cannot be foreseen.
Stay with me, there's more to come!
