Here we go with the DEVLog for June!

Of course, there will be story content; after all, the whole ACT IV is about Remembrance. Now, let's delve into what else is new! The Options menu is done and ready to be released. Sure, the Accessibility tab will get more options as we progress, but for now, we have three options there...

  • Compact Menu - Just in case you prefer a simpler menu, you can toggle this option to get it.

  • Skip Intro - This skips the entire game intro and sends you straight to the Main Menu.

  • Black & White Filter - I don't know who needs this, but it's something I've always wanted to add.

Below, you can find the comparison between the Compact Menu vs. Full, and the Black & White Filter vs. Color.

...and with the Black & White Filter applied. Again, this can be toggled from the Options menu, but you'll need to advance to the next scene when turned off to restore full color mode.

Also, the Game Menu has been changed! This is the menu you get when you hit ESC or Right-Click. (It's a WIP for now, but it's currently working!)

As you know from the last DEVLog in May, Interface Language was on its way, and for this update, it's here! Now, I know it's not perfect, but I'm doing my best with the resources I have. There might be some grammar issues and so on, but I would really appreciate it if you reported them. Because of this new feature, some parts of the game had to be redesigned.

Below, you can find the new look of these menus, including the updated Shards of Her menu (where you'll find the game's ACTs).

Next up, the Astrology Menu. Currently, there's nothing to "click" here, this is for later game events, but here's its new look.

The Characters menu also needed a redesign, and I'm pretty happy with this version! (Note: Powers are just placeholders for now; they'll reflect each character's true abilities in the final update.)

And finally, the Timeline menu. I had to ditch the old design for this new one. It's still a WIP, so expect more changes!

And some other changes here and there! A lot of the backend code had to be updated due to the Interface Language option, but it's all done and ready for future updates and additions. Now, the only menu that wasn't changed is FRAGMENTS. This one is getting a complete overhaul, so for now, it's sticking with the old design until it's ready for release.

I think there are even more updates, but I'm sure you'll discover them in the game! Also, some messages might still appear in English because they're tied to the Game Dialogue translation system. For the Interface, I created my own values and code to handle the UI/UX. I may or may not use Ren'Py's default system for handling the Game Dialogue, but that's a story for later.

Now, you might have noticed that where GOD'S SUMMIT once was, it's now DLC. That's because GOD'S SUMMIT was always meant to be endgame content. The DLC Menu is now usable—you can open it, and it will show what's below in the image.

And no, in case you were wondering if these are going to be PAID DLC, they WON'T be. However, they will be available as separate downloads due to their size.

I think that's all for now, I think... Below, you can find some previews from the next update. And, maybe, if I can get them updated/done by the time of the release, the TRADING CARDS and Community Items will also be available.
