Rent is a third of a level now, not half — and it says why, in your terms: losing one day to a bear trap used to leave the cycle needing three quarters of everything on the map, which "is not a hard day, it is a dead company."
One deposit is the rent. Three deposits a line, six crates each, and the day reads as rent / spending money / greed. Says outright you can pay rent without moving the extractor.
A deposit lasts a minute instead of forty seconds.
The air stays clean while you earn your rent. Cough on the seventh crate, toxic on the thirteenth, "which is exactly the moment you finish setting up on that last deposit, so the first crate off it is the one that turns on you."
The fog builds the whole way through a level instead of maxing out halfway and sitting there.
Playing alone is one resource line, whatever job you take — this one directly names yesterday's promise and retracts it.
Smaller small-crew days, and scrap worth slightly more since a level is 18 crates.
