Bullet point summary

Further enforced existing factory rules and regulations:

  • factories now inform you of the floors, walls and roofs placed, as well as whether the factory is complete.

  • fixed some issues with the required face count.

  • made factory save/load more robust

  • fixed a number of bugs and issues

factory expansion is now out:

  • tools now affect the factory environment: tools that use heat will increase factory temperatures, a certain number of tools increase atmospheric particles (and thus the atmosphere number) of a factory environment.

  • 2 factory modules will now stop and reverse the increase of temperature and atmospheric particles

  • you're able to put these modules on the roof of a factory that is complete

Previously

when a factory was placed before, you thought you were done. You'd drop in your tools, you'd be able to let them run indefinitely and collect the resources in your storage tools.

Now

this is now a thing of the past! With the recent updates, you build your factory just as before, place your tools, and you'll quickly notice that the environmental conditions in your factory start to deteriorate. Temperatures increase, atmospheric density builds up. Not the perfect conditions you thought you'd be able to keep.

But have no fear! The ship provides you with some factory modules you can place on top of your factories:

  • a thermal factory module will bring down the temperature as required, based on the settings you feed it.

  • an atmospheric factory module will bring down the atmospheric density as required, also based on the settings you feed it.

Simply pop those modules on a roof, and it will start working on your perfect factory. As with everything in plexum, however, you'll notice that the modules have some limits, so... more to come soon!

Later

Roads, vehicles, vehicle depots, vehicle stops. They're the future of bringing your goods from factory to factory, giving you some extra free time for exploration and mining. When exactly this update will come? no one can tell for sure. but it's coming. As you may have noticed, we're not working on a weekly schedule. Updates come when they're ready, and not a moment sooner.

Also: somewhere in the coming week, keep your eyes peeled for some more in-depth information about the vision for plexum, detailing - where possible - where the game is currently headed, where we believe the game will head, and more.

With these changes, you should now be able to make nice little factories all across your planets. Just remember to check the time.

Stay plexum!

Community8 Sep 2026devlog #001 - VehiclesHello! Since we suspect that the update for vehicles might be taking a bit longer than anticipated, we thought it was a good idea to talk a bit about the vehicle system and everything that surrounds it. As it currently stands, we believe we're about 75% done, with the individual systems pretty much set up (with some polishing still needing to be done for some of them) for the vehicles themselve…Community31 Aug 2026A quick noteHi plexians, I just wanted to post a quick note about our website: it is now fully operational, with a fully functioning encyclopedia and a sort of roadmap (altho I'm advised not to actually call it a roadmap) detailing where the game currently is, what is in development, and what is on the list of things that MIGHT (I was told to stress this) get into the game. No promises. No timeline. Just t…Community21 Aug 2026plexum demoLess than 24 hours remain on the introductory offer! The plexum Demo is now available. It contains the same game as the full version, allowing you to explore, gather resources, build, automate and see what plexum is all about. The only major difference is that the Demo does not allow you to save your progress. You can play as much as you want, but once you leave, your progress is gone. If you w…
