Thanks for checking out Embermaze: Descent!

This is the first release! But, this isn't the end of the road for development, not at all. I have plenty of ideas to build on the game!

I've certainly had a bit of a blast developing it, and as I'm not a fan of being scared in games myself it has definitely been a bit of a mission to test!

I've added some high resolution wall textures that are randomised in themes, so try with and without the CRT mode and see which you prefer. I love both. :)

I hope you enjoy getting shot in the back by a ghost, and having them roar at you from the dark. Please get in touch with any feedback. :)

Game update8 Sep 2026Patch notes for version 0.910The main change for PC/Mac is that the 'reveal keys/chest' button no longer has a time limit. The keys are revealed for the duration of that level. You start with two tokens, get another every third level, and if you complete a level without being spotted by a ghost then you get a bonus one!
