Neon Sector · published

Hello, this is SaveFourIntGames.
We’d like to share the update details for Neon Sector 0.0.5.1. Tutorial Map Added1-1) When you start the game for the first time, you will now begin in the tutorial map instead of the hideout.
At the popup window shown at the beginning, you can choose whether to proceed with the tutorial or skip it.

If you press Yes, the tutorial will begin. If you press No, it will be skipped and you will start in the hideout as before.1-2) In the tutorial, enemies can still damage you, but your character cannot die.
If you are playing for the first time, we recommend going through the tutorial.2. Improved Visibility for Buildings Blocking the Player

Previously, when the player was hidden behind a building, the material of the obstructing building was changed to semi-transparent so the character could be seen. However, the player was still difficult to see, making character visibility quite inconvenient.
To improve this, we implemented an occlusion mask that cuts out the mesh blocking the player in a circular shape, allowing the character to remain visible at all times.3. Neon Forest East Camp Area Added and New Enemy Introduced3-1) A camping area has been added to the eastern region of Neon Forest.
This area contains many enemies, but also includes material items and various loot boxes.3-2) A new enemy has been added to the camp and sawmill areas.Burst Trooper - A stronger variant of the regular Trooper. Once it detects the player, it quickly fires bursts of 3 to 5 shots. It also has more health than a regular Trooper.3-3) New quests have been added for defeating Burst Troopers and reaching destinations.

- Enemy Elimination Quest 5
- Destination Arrival Quest 64. Convenience Improvements and Changes4-1) The HP bar and shield bar are now always visible above the player. For other players, their HP bar, shield bar, and Steam ID are now displayed.4-2) If the host and a participant enter a raid together, they will now both receive experience when defeating enemies.
However, dead players will not receive experience.4-3) Added hit effects and sound effects when bullets hit walls or obstacles.4-4) Added sound effects when thrown objects collide with walls or obstacles.4-5) Improved enemy behavior so that nearby enemies will also detect the player when one enemy is attacked.4-6) Troopers and Burst Troopers will now retreat when the player gets too close, and resume firing once a certain distance is regained.4-7) When using a buff item, the buff name and remaining duration are now displayed above the status UI in the bottom-left corner.
The duration of buff items has been increased to 60 seconds, and a movement speed boost injection has been added.
When used, the movement speed boost injection increases the player’s movement speed by 20% for 60 seconds.4-8) Some content in the tutorial window opened with the H key has been revised.4-9) Some content in the Control Help UI opened with the O key has been revised.4-10) When holding a throwable and pressing the G key, you can no longer throw it behind the character.5. Bug Fixes5-1) Fixed an issue where scrolling the mouse wheel while holding a firearm changed the remaining ammo UI.5-2) Fixed an issue where lowering the overall graphics quality to Low or Medium caused graphical abnormalities.5-3) Fixed an issue where the same consumable item could be assigned to multiple quick slots.5-4) Fixed an issue where invited participants in the host’s room could not complete quests.5-5) Fixed an issue where the escape quest could be completed by moving from the shooting range to the hideout.Thank you.
