Hello Frog Sqwad!
From our announcement trailer the keen eyed of you may have spotted Items! Today we will be showing these new additions including how you get them, how they work, and how they can completely change the way you play.
Right near the spawn pool in the Swamp, you’ll find the Vending Machine—your go-to source for tools, tricks, and questionable decisions.
To use it, simply interact with the buttons using your tongue to browse available items, then hit the green button to purchase if your squad has enough Coins. Once bought, your item will pop out in a neat little capsule. Give it a lick, and it’s added straight to your inventory.
Items aren’t just a one-area deal:
Capsules and deployable items (like Grenades, Inflatable Frogs, and Trampolines) can be carried between the Swamp and Sewer using the boat or bowl.
Leave something behind in the Swamp? It will still be there when you return!
Consumables stack, and you can track their effects anytime via the pause screen.
Here’s what you’ll currently find stocked in the Vending Machine:
Bouncy Ball - Fires in the direction of your camera, ricocheting around the environment. It damages enemies on contact, making it perfect for chaotic crowd control.
Grenade - A familiar explosive from the Sewers. Requires two players working together (tongue teamwork required) to arm, then detonates after a short delay.
Inflatable Frog - A decoy that draws enemy attention. Once it’s taken enough hits, it explodes taking nearby enemies with it.
Plastic Bag - Deploy mid-air to float gently back down. Surprisingly useful, occasionally life-saving.
Selfie Stick - Snaps a photo from the camera at the end of the stick after a short timer.
Trampoline - Launch yourself high into the air. It can be dragged around, but bounce height won’t stack with repeated jumps.
Bubble Gum - Increases your stomach size (and megafrog threshold!).
X-LONG Gum - Extends your tongue length.
Caffeine Gum - Boosts your run speed.
Items are designed to be mixed, matched, and occasionally misused. Whether you’re coordinating with teammates or improvising in the moment, they open up plenty of ways to experiment and plenty of ways for things to go wrong. But choose wisely, you’ve only got 3 inventory slots each to bring with you into the sewers. Which items will you pick?
We’re excited to see how you use them. Until then, see you in the Swamp,
Panic Stations 💚
