Solo play now has a little audience.Keep a combo going and people start filing in on both sides of the stage. The better you play, the more of them show up! They hop on the beat, and when you hit an improv stretch the whole crowd comes out. This is single player only for now (no local multiplayer or online), so it's just you and whoever you've earned.
I've started teaching All-Star the intended melody on official songs, a primary lead, plus a backup part for when that melody rests instead of leaving every pick to the automatic guess.A first batch is tagged: Ave Maria, In the Hall of the Mountain King, Spooky House, and Summertime Flowers. Most of the other pack in songs were already ok. Custom MIDIs still use the automatic picker, same as before.All-Star also reads a little cleaner around the edges:
During a song and on the results screen, you'll see All-Star instead of a single instrument name.
The song-select leaderboard in All-Star is the All-Star board for that song and difficulty — hovering different parts no longer swaps it.
Scores: Band Mode boards are unchanged. All-Star leaderboards are now their own song-and-difficulty boards, tied to the current All-Star chart, so you'll see a fresh All-Star board as these charts settle in.
The Menu Voices and Gameplay Voices sliders in Options now actually change how loud the announcer is (they were getting flattened in the mix).
Ornaments now get the same natural note-release tail as regular hits, so those little extra notes don't cut off as abruptly.
I posted Dev Log #2 this week going over some of the world tour progress. Lots of core systems are now in place including saving/loading, rewards for task completion, calendar system, and tutorials for the first few show types. We're inching closer and closer to the Act 1 demo which I'm targeting to release within the next few months! Currently in the process of hiring an artist to replace the placeholder ones I'm using now.
As always, keep jammin~
