Guys, this wall of text are patch notes of version 1.1

AI

All enemy skill settings have been tweaked, easy is now easier than before, compared to the two others, hard is really hard.

Updated and reworked parts of the AI to have better awareness, avoid behaviours like "looking through walls" and being more responsive and faster, they will now seek the player for a longer time and they will alert others better and more often.

Because of these changes, the game has become harder in certain areas but it is also easier to predict enemies and what will happen in a gun fight. The AI now might sometimes move a bit strange or stand and do odd things, but this is an ongoing development.*

*We are looking into rewriting the ai-behaviour and their navigation code from scratch for the full version, to get better controll over it.

WEAPONS

All weapons have been tweaked and updated, several updated and new sounds, alert ranges, damages and speeds. Several bugs have been addressed, animation issues, lockups, graphics and also some player skill settings affected the wrong weapon type.

A distinct impact sound was added when enemies shoot and hit close to you, makes it easier to know when getting shot at from very far away.

Playing with the suppressed pistol is now more predictable because how the AI have been updated and how the alert system works. The sound range of the pistol sound is now a lot lower than before, but shooting several shots in quick succession increases the sound range until you simmer down a bit there son.

The suppressed pistol should now be a lot easier to play around.

The regular shotgun (Police Model 800) have been added to the Arcade Mode. A very powerful and fun weapon to use and compared to many games, very accurate.

The regular shotgun has been added to the Arcade Mode.

LEVEL STUFF

Both levels have been updated with collision fixes and other smaller fixes. More health spawn locations and ammo have been added to the Construction Site level.

Both levels have gotten a small autosave location near start, in the office level, it's when you fall down from the ventilation and in the construction level, it's after the long intro and first night vision section.

The map/info screen have been harmonized to look similar in different resolutions and some missing item icons/sounds were added.

Vending machines can now spawn eatables that give you a small amount of health. In Arcade Mode, using these will cost you money.

Now you can interact wiht these.

CONTROLLS

Toggle lean was added and an option to hide the crosshair when looking through the iron sight of the weapon (this option was already there in the Session Settings menu, it's still there, but we will rework this a bit later).

The default controller layout was tweaked and updated to work better. We have tested this mostly on the steam deck (we actually have one to test the game on now, before we only had one single Xbox 360 controller).

This is not Washington Prime, but Washington Prime should work better on Steamdeck now.

OTHER FIXES

A small foot step icon was added when enemies are close to you and are moving, the range is very short and is mostly usable when sneaking around or just moving slowly. This was to combat the issues when players can't hear the enemy footstep sounds because of music or something else. This issue will probably be looked at more later on.

A small footstep icon was added to the top right corner, visible when an enemy close to you is walking.

OpenGL ES have been removed from the game because of shader and other graphics issues, you have only now two choices of regular OpenGL and Vulkan. The chat was removed and the player name defaulted to “Blake”.

Tons of small fixes here and there!
