Hello everyone!
It's time for another Golf 5 MAX development update.
Over the past few weeks, we've been hard at work improving the game, reviewing your feedback, and continuing development on some exciting new features. In this devlog, we'll share some of the changes we've been making, take a look behind the scenes, and give you a glimpse of what's coming next for Golf 5 MAX.
Without further ado, let's dive right in:
First of all, thank you to everyone who downloaded the demo and took the time to share your thoughts. We've been reading every discussion, and your feedback has already helped us identify what's working well and where Golf 5 MAX can improve.
A few things came up consistently throughout the discussions, and it's worth calling them out specifically:
Satisfying golf physics and responsive shot mechanics.
The mix of arcade gameplay and RPG-style progression.
The retro-inspired direction and overall feel of the game.
Excitement for the full release and what's still to come.
We also received some excellent constructive feedback, and rather than brushing past it, we want to break down what we heard and what it means for development moving forward:
Gameplay & Controls
Smoother controller support and menu navigation.
More camera control during gameplay.
More gameplay and control customization options.
Progressions & Customization
Expanded progression systems.
More character customization, including outfits and potentially character creation.
Polish & Features
Gameplay polish and quality-of-life improvements.
Improvements to audio balancing and sound settings.
Online multiplayer (already in development and planned for release).
Many of these topics are already being discussed internally, and your feedback directly helps us prioritize what matters most to the community rather than guessing at what to build next.
It was a great experience overall, and it helped us gather a lot of valuable feedback that's already shaping the game going forward.
We've been reviewing your suggestions and are already working on several improvements that will make Golf 5 MAX an even better experience.
We've improved support for ultrawide displays: Players on ultrawide monitors reported display issues in the demo, and we've made fixes so the game renders correctly across a wider range of aspect ratios.
We are working on improving the UI, specifically:
Make gamepad navigation easier.
Improve clarity and ease of use.
Better match the game's retro-inspired visual style.
We're expanding character diversity and progression paths to give each golfer a more unique identity and playstyle.
Deciding what to include in the demo was tougher than expected. We wanted players to get a real, honest sense of Golf 5 MAX without giving away so much that it spoiled the full game or lost its appeal.
While the demo has been in players' hands, development has continued behind the scenes. The team has been focusing on improving existing systems, refining gameplay, and building the features that will bring Golf 5 MAX closer to its full release.
We're redesigning the online lobby to make it easier to connect with friends, find matches, and prepare for multiplayer rounds.
One of our biggest priorities is bringing Golf 5 MAX online. We're continuing development on multiplayer systems to create a smooth and enjoyable competitive experience for players around the world.
Development continues, and we're excited to keep expanding Golf 5 MAX over the coming months.
Online Multiplayer – Continue development of competitive online play.
New Arcade Modes – Birdie or Bust and Time Attack.
UI Redesign – A cleaner, more intuitive interface with improved controller support.
Keep practicing in the demo, because you'll soon have the chance to compete against other players for exclusive prizes. We'll be sharing more details very soon.
Thank you for continuing to support Golf 5 MAX and for helping shape the future of the game.
