This time, we'd like to step away from dry patch notes and share a few words directly from the development team:
Major updates affect a large number of systems, and even with thorough testing, we can't always predict chain reactions in older code. For example, in the latest patch, the introduction of Fishing unexpectedly impacted the way quest items are turned in, which in turn affected character data synchronization. We hadn't made any changes to those systems, but in a project that's been around for many years, the connections between different parts aren't always obvious.
Every update goes through two stages of live human testing, and for key changes, we've also added an open beta test.
That said, difficulties don't stop us — we analyze the issues, fix them, keep moving forward, and will continue to develop engaging and meaningful content for you.
