Hey Bugs,
Before launching Bug Alliance into Early Access, we shared a roadmap built around delivering a new Major Update approximately every 2–3 months.
As development continued, we started looking more closely at what Bug Alliance really needed next.
Instead of simply adding the next planned batch of content, we decided to focus on something more meaningful: improving the overall player experience, giving the story of Bug Alliance a much stronger place in the game, and creating more distinctive ways to play.
That decision led to our upcoming Major Update, Echoes of Volucris, arriving in September.
It will introduce some of the biggest changes to Bug Alliance so far:
A dedicated Story Mode, giving the world, factions and characters of Volucris a proper chapter-based experience
A rebuilt Chaos Surge, featuring the spreading Chaos Fog, Puristal purification, portal choices and escalating endless runs
The new Volucris Archives, expanding how players discover the history, characters, enemies and secrets of the world
Further improvements to progression, replayability and the overall player experience
Because we chose to invest our development time into these larger changes, the timing of the Major Updates shown in our original Early Access roadmap will also shift.
Each upcoming Major Update in the roadmap will move approximately three months from its originally planned release window.
The content and direction of the roadmap remain important to us. We are simply giving each stage more room so we can build on the stronger foundation we are creating now.
We believe this is the right direction for Bug Alliance — and a much better use of Early Access than releasing content simply to meet a date.
Thank you for continuing this journey with us.
See you in September for Echoes of Volucris.
