Update: Fluid Replacement & Shared Universe

Hello Car Dealers!

Today’s update introduces new features related to repair mode!

From now on, vehicles have three fluid reservoirs:

• engine oil
• coolant
• brake fluid

Fluids are consumed while driving. A low fluid level causes the related part to wear out faster, while running completely out of fluid makes the vehicle unsafe to drive.

The vehicle HUD indicators will let you know when a fluid level is low. You can also check the fluid levels using the scanner.

Fluids can be purchased both at the physical store and through the online shop.

A new fluid-related minigame has been added to repair mode. The UI shows the current fluid level in the reservoir, as well as the amount of fluid remaining in the bottle.

Filling the fluid works similarly to loosening wheel bolts - hold the left mouse button and drag down along the indicator to tilt the bottle and refill the fluid.

Both the mechanic employee and the automation platform now account for fluid replacement in their tasks and display it in their respective UIs.

Fluid replacement and low fluid levels become available once you unlock the ability to replace the parts associated with them.

Shared Universe

In today’s devlog, we’re continuing our series dedicated to the shared universe with Police Chief Simulator.

In Car Dealer Simulator, some shady practices related to running your business make an appearance.

There are ways to slightly deceive your customers about the condition of the vehicles you’re selling.

Instead of replacing exhaust system parts, you can... patch them up with tape. This improves their condition, while your customers have no idea what’s really going on underneath.

There’s also a mileage rollback mechanic. Thanks to a gift from Little Sam and a special minigame, you can make the displayed mileage lower than the actual mileage, increasing the vehicle’s value in the process.

We don’t approve of such practices, but as they say - business is business, and the bills won’t pay themselves 🙂
