TL;DR: We’ve been working on a major round of improvements, including a new PIP Tutorial System for service activities, gameplay and visual fixes, improved vehicle behavior, and many smaller refinements.

It’s been another busy development phase for us. We’ve spent a lot of time testing the game, fixing issues, polishing interactions, and improving the overall driving experience.

Alongside these fixes, we’ve also added a new tutorial system to help players understand important service activities more easily.

Here’s what we’ve been working on.

🎓 Introducing the New PIP Tutorial System

One of the main additions in this update is our new PIP (Picture-in-Picture) Tutorial System.

When visiting a service area, players can now receive step-by-step visual guidance directly during gameplay. The tutorial appears in a small PIP window while you continue playing, showing what needs to be done with a short visual demonstration for each step.

The system currently covers three main service activities:

  • Refueling the Truck

  • Changing a Tire

  • Washing the Truck

Each activity is divided into simple steps, with the tutorial progressing as you complete them. Our goal was to make these activities easier to understand without interrupting the gameplay.

🛠️ A Lot of Bugs Have Been Fixed

Along with the new tutorial system, we’ve fixed many issues discovered during testing across gameplay, controls, vehicles, traffic, service areas, UI, and individual levels.

🎮 Improved Controls & Gameplay Interaction

We fixed issues with switching between steering wheel and keyboard controls, unwanted mouse interactions when other panels were open, missing cursors in certain menus, and controls remaining active after a job was completed or failed.

These changes should make gameplay interactions feel much more consistent.

🚛 Improved Vehicle Physics & Traffic Behavior

We addressed several traffic and vehicle behavior issues, including vehicles overlapping, getting stuck around the player's truck, jumping unexpectedly, and reacting incorrectly to nearby vehicles.

Collision behavior during crashes, falls, and rollovers has also been improved.

🔊 Better Vehicle Audio & Collision Effects

Vehicle collision audio and effects have also been cleaned up.

Excessive sounds during falls, flips, and impacts have been adjusted, unwanted sparks have been removed, and vehicle sounds continuing after game-over situations have been fixed.

🌄 Visual & Shadow Improvements

We fixed several visual issues across different levels, including missing or misaligned shadows, traffic vehicle shadows, pixelation, reflections, and various vehicle details.

Dashboard elements, speedometer visuals, tyre details, fuel tank details, and other vehicle components have also received improvements.

🧰 Service Area & Job Improvements

We also fixed several issues related to refueling, tyre changes, truck washing, and job interactions.

Camera behavior after service activities has been improved, unnecessary notifications have been removed, and issues around the fuel nozzle, tyres, and service areas have been addressed.

Trailer placement, job list visuals, and trailer positioning in terminal areas have also been corrected.

🗺️ Level-Specific Fixes

While testing the different levels, we found issues involving vehicle placement, trailer positioning, traffic behavior, shadows, visual quality, and other gameplay elements.

These have now been reviewed and fixed to make the levels feel more consistent and polished.

✨ More Small Improvements Across the Game

Besides the larger fixes, we’ve made many smaller improvements throughout the game.

These include UI behavior, notifications, vehicle interactions, service activities, job completion, audio, camera behavior, and general gameplay consistency.

Some may not be immediately noticeable, but together they help make the game feel more polished.

🔧 Still Working Behind the Scenes

This update is another step in the ongoing development of the game.

There’s still plenty we want to improve, but every update helps us refine the experience, fix issues found during testing, and make the gameplay more enjoyable.

We’re particularly happy to introduce the new PIP Tutorial System and hope it makes the service activities much easier to understand for new players.

Thank you to everyone who has been playing, testing, and sharing feedback with us. Your feedback helps us find issues and decide where to focus our efforts next.

We’ll keep working on the game and share more development updates as we continue.

See you on the road! 🚛
