Hello, friends!
We're excited to share the results of a huge phase of work with you. Over the past few months, we've practically lived inside the game to make it as comfortable, terrifying, and beautiful as possible for each of you. Let's dive into the details!
🎨 GRAPHICSVisual settings have become incredibly flexible. Now everyone can choose the perfect option for themselves:
🔊 SOUNDThe audio landscape has also taken a huge leap forward. Besides the music (we've praised the composer before, but we'll say it again — he's a legend!), we've put serious work into 3D spatial positioning. The number of sounds and their quality have increased by an order of magnitude — the immersion will feel far more tangible.
📖 STORYThe story itself hasn't been radically rewritten, but its delivery has changed significantly. More engaging dialogue, more details, notes, and little touches. If you love diving deep into lore — you'll drown in it with pleasure. The overall picture now comes together much more cohesively, but we've left plenty of room for your own theories and interpretations... 🤔
🎮 GAMEPLAYWe fully understand that this is the heart of the game. We're striving to make the experience as tactile and satisfying as possible, down to the millimeter. Everything has been refined: from opening doors to text display logic and object interactions. This is a massive effort that touches nearly every system, all with one goal — to make you feel as comfortable as possible in the game (in the best sense of the word). 😉
👻 HORROR ELEMENTSAnd yes, this is still a horror game — we haven't forgotten! We conducted a total analysis: built tension graphs and compiled tables of all jump scares by category. This revealed both our strengths and some unpleasant issues (over-saturation with certain techniques and loss of fear where it was supposed to be scary...). We've reviewed all the problematic points and found solutions. The game must remain unpredictable right up to the very end!
❤️ BLOOD, SWEAT, AND LOVEWe reviewed every single stream, video, and mention of our game based on early-version playthroughs and closed playtests, read every article and review. Huge thanks to everyone for the feedback! We also haven't forgotten the invaluable experience of participating in "Igroprom" — the expert opinions from the jury and streamers gave us a powerful boost. We're fighting to bring this project as close to perfection as possible — if not to ideal, then to a state as near to it as we can get. We're doing everything to make the game better and more beloved.
With love and respect,
The Exent Team <3
