Sneak Peek Roundup 2

Hey Survivors, we hope everyone is doing well!

Today, we’d like to show you some of our latest sneak peeks that were shared on our Discord server but never made it onto Steam. If you missed them, here’s a full roundup featuring new props and weapons, our clothing system, clothing and accessory fitting, a glimpse at our farming system, world design, and much more.

Military area

One of our lovely Developers, who is focused on bringing the world of Ardem to life, is currently working on a Military Areas and many more with a strong focus on realism. From the buildings and surrounding environment to the props and smaller details, everything is being carefully designed to fit the location and, most importantly, feel right from the moment you first arrive.

That’s something we really want to achieve across Minnowa: when you enter a new location, the atmosphere should immediately make sense and give you the right feeling. And this is only one of many interesting locations we have planned for Minnowa.

A Clothing System That Reacts

Our Technical Artist is working on a clothing system that visually reflects what’s happening to the player while playing Ardem. Whether your clothes become damaged, soaked from rain or jumping into water, covered in blood after being attacked by a zombie, or simply get dirty from running through mud, your clothing will react to what you do and what you experience in the world.

The goal is to provide clear and immersive visual feedback that reflects how players interact with the world and its environments. And that’s just the beginning.

Growing Through the Stages

Frano, has been working hard on prop designs for farming, including multiple growth stages. You heard that right, stages! From a tiny seed slowly growing into a full-sized plant and everything in between. Frano is aiming to create a balanced and natural progression from the earliest stages all the way to the final growth stage.

Each stage is being carefully designed to look good, feel balanced, fit naturally into the world, and maintain a realistic appearance. There’s plenty more to come, but for now, here’s a little glimpse and hint at what’s being worked on behind the scenes.

Weapons Built for Realism

Our team has been continuing work on the weapons and attachments, refining and adapting them to fit our world while focusing on realism, functionality, and detail. Unlike some of our crafted tools, which were designed and built entirely from scratch by our team, not every asset follows the same process. Some assets are sourced in various stages and then extensively refined, modified, and upgraded to meet our standards.

While we're proud of the work that goes into making them fit our game, we can't claim them as entirely our own or go into too much detail about the development process for obvious reasons. As we continue developing, we hope to showcase more assets that are built entirely from the ground up, allowing us to share more insight into the creative process behind them.

Designed to Fit

Our Character Artist has been working hard behind the scenes on one of the many systems currently in development: clothing and accessory fitting. The videos/gifs below showcase clothing being fitted across 13 different body morphs, including both human and zombie body types.

The goal is to make clothing work seamlessly across the different body shapes in the game. This opens up some pretty interesting possibilities. For example, clothing could potentially be looted from zombies, allowing you to take what they're wearing and use it yourself. Clothing is also being developed with dynamic body changes in mind, meaning that if your character gains or loses weight, their clothing can adjust accordingly.

But it doesn't stop at clothing! You'll also spot the gas mask, which is being developed to adapt to different head presets and facial proportions, including jaw width. The glasses are another example of how detailed the system is becoming. They dynamically adjust alongside your character's face customization, meaning changes to things like nose height, nose width, nose bridge position, and other facial features will affect how the glasses fit.

All of this is in development and things may change, improve, or work differently by the time you get your hands on it.

Gamescom Cologne 2026

On August 27, the Techtive Games team headed to Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, for an exciting week surrounded by the gaming industry.

It was a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow passionate developers, publishers, industry professionals, and of course, some of the amazing guests and fans who make gaming what it is.

From great conversations and new connections to simply enjoying the atmosphere of one of the biggest gaming events in the world, it was a day to remember. And naturally, none of it would be complete without a nice, cold drink in hand! 🍻
