Thanks for following along the development of Harbourlight!
The diner's been dark for a while, and on Friday I'm turning the sign around.
The Harbourlight Playtest opens on Friday morning BST, 11th September, and runs until Monday 21st September.
It's free, and it's the first time anyone outside my own kitchen gets to cook.
The first half of Rachel's arc, from the night she first knocks to the point where things start to shift.
Fin turns up a few nights in, with his own reasons for eating alone.
The eight-pillar taste system. One guest a night, one plate, and a person on the other side of the counter who'll tell you exactly what they think.
Farming, fishing and foraging, running through the 21 day month from spring into summer.
Click Request Access on this page now and you'll be in the queue. When I open the doors on Friday evening, everyone who's put their name down goes through together, and Steam will email you the moment you're in. It'll turn up in your library as Harbourlight Playtest.
I'm a one-person studio, so every note reaches me directly, and you've got a real chance to shape where this game goes.
Tell me whether the cooking clicked, whether the nights landed, where you got stuck or bored, and what you wanted more of.
There's a link in the pause menu to a feedback survey. I'd be enormously grateful if you found the time to fill in.
It's the single most useful thing you can do for the game. Otherwise, come and find me on the socials. I'm X/Twitter and harbourlight.game on Instagram or threads and my DMs are open on all socials.
Thanks for coming down to the harbour. See you Friday!
