August Update: Cyberpunk Fest is here, and so is the Demo Update

Hey everyone!

Quick one today. Match Morphosis is officially part of Cyberpunk Fest, Steam's very first one, running August 3rd through the 10th.

Also dropped some new key art for the store page, figured the festival was a good excuse to give the game a fresh look. Go check it out.

If you've been on the fence about trying the demo, this is a good excuse to jump in too, it's live now on the store page.

For anyone new here from the festival: Match Morphosis is a match-3 where every match is also a combat move, built into a full roguelike run structure. If that sounds like your thing, give the demo a shot.

Being part of a first-year festival is a bit of an unknown for everyone involved, but it felt like the right moment to get the game in front of more people. If you play it, feedback is always welcome, here, in the Discord, or wherever's easiest. And if you enjoy it, a review goes a long way in helping the game get seen by more players.

See you in the festival.

In-game event21 Jul 2026July Update: Perks are here, and a whole lot of gameplay balancingBeen a busy few weeks again, so let's get right into it. Perks are finally in! I know, I know, I said "more on that soon" like two updates ago. Well, soon is now. Perks are a per-run pickup that also differ per character, meaning the perks you see and choose from will lean into what that character "build" is. The idea here is to make synergy planning easier. Instead of hoping the run throws you…Community12 Jun 2026June Update: New Name, New Matching System, and a Bunch of New ContentHey everyone! A few things to cover this time around, so let me just get into it. The game has a new name Match Morphosis is now Match Morphosis: Match-3 Roguelike. Not a dramatic change, but an intentional one. The old name told you nothing about what kind of game this is before you clicked on it. Someone browsing Steam who has never heard of it would have no idea if it was a puzzle game, a na…Community6 May 2026May Update: Demo Success, Optimizations, Some Big Gameplay Changes for 0.0.61Hey everyone! It's been a few weeks since the demo dropped, and honestly, the response has been pretty cool to see. Since launch, the game picked up almost 250 new wishlists. That's people who actually played the demo and decided they wanted more of it, which feels way more meaningful than a random click. The average playtime is sitting ~1 hour, so yeah, people are actually staying and playing.…
