Early Access opens Monday, September 14

Simhaus: Football unlocks on Steam on Monday, September 14. If you've wishlisted or followed the game, Steam will let you know the moment it's live. It's a single-player football coaching sim where high school, college and the pros share one universe and one calendar: 2,400 high schools, 133 college programs and 32 pro franchises, all advancing together every week. Every player enters the world as a high school freshman. Find him at 15, recruit him at 18, draft him at 22, and follow him all the way to the Hall of Fame.

What's in the game on day one

It's fully playable, front to back.

  • Call every play, or sim the game in one click. 700+ plays across 18 formations and 21 offensive and defensive schemes, played out in a broadcast-style 3D match engine.

  • A coaching career across every level. Start as a high school assistant and climb through coordinator and head coaching jobs to college and the pros. Or skip the climb and start in the job you want.

  • Recruiting and the transfer portal, with calls, home visits, official visits, NIL pitches and Signing Day.

  • The pro front office: salary cap, contracts, franchise tags, the draft, trades and free agency.

  • A world that remembers. Three seasons of history already in the books, plus record books, awards, rivalries and Hall of Fame classes that grow with every season you play.

  • Make it your world. A play editor, a built-in Universe Editor, and Steam Workshop support for sharing whole universes.

What's still rough

This is Early Access, and I'd rather tell you now than have you find out. The foundation is solid and the game is fun today, but expect janky animation in the 3D engine, the occasional bug, and UI that's still being refined.

Where it's headed

  • Better match presentation. Early Access revenue goes into motion capture for dramatically better player animation.

  • Deeper systems across recruiting, the draft, coaching careers and player development.

  • More polish: refined UI, better balance across long dynasties, and more quality-of-life features

  • Sound and multiplayer.

  • Content built from your feedback.

Early Access will likely run less than 12 months, though getting it right comes before hitting a date. It's priced lower than the full release, as thanks to the players who join early.
