First Update is Live (1.0.009r)

Hey everyone! The last few days were crazy. On behalf of our small team, a huge THANK YOU for supporting our game, for your raving reviews, and tons of valuable feedback. The launch has exceeded all our expectations, and we’re very excited for the future of ReStory. We have so many ideas of what to do moving forward, and we will share more details and stats soon, but for now we just wanted to highlight that you - our community - are the reason it was all possible. You are amazing! ❤️

For now, we want to address two important things. The first one is the v1.0.009r Update that just went live - here’s what’s been fixed:
For now there are two major things we'd like to sure. First - the first patch for the game is now live (v1.0.009r), here's what was fixed:

• "How Did I Do It" and "Frugal" achievements unlocking early
• "Platinum partner" achievement
• Updating firmware bug for the Guitar Legend and MyPod
• Unable to use inventory in competition mode
• Error with gadget 'IDM device' disassembling.
• Error with mail tab button not indicating new emails.
• Some bugs with UltraWide screens when disassembling
• Some gadgets stuck in sonic bath
• Eggotchi, Goman and Brick Game bugs

Please update your game to install this update and let us know if you encounter any issues. We’re already working hard on the next update and will provide details very soon.

Now, second thing important for many of you: we want to address the topic of Steam backgrounds the quality of which appeared to be disappointing. We heard you loud and clear regarding these assets. We stand by the fact that there wasn't any genAI used in the game itself, but community items are not a part of the game. They are a separate thing which was done by an external outsource artist whom we shouldn't have trusted; we won't work with that artist any more, and we admit that we should’ve been more vigilant in reviewing those assets in the first place.

What are we going to do about it? Unfortunately, the Steam backend systems do not allow us to just revoke and replace the background arts immediately. Nevertheless, we have now initiated a review process to go over all adjacent assets created to support the game and we will be replacing the backgrounds with the new versions (made by a trusted artist) as soon as we can. So please give us some time while we’re making sure everything is up to standard. (UPDATE: All backgrounds have been replaced with the new versions )
