Promo Wrestling World — Update 6/24 (Early Access)
A big quality-of-life pass on show results, the booking loop, and the World Editor — plus a smarter living world and a stack of fixes.
🎬 Show Results, Reworked
Your results screen now actually tells you why a match landed where it did.
- Two-axis ratings. Every segment shows Quality (the work) and a separate Crowd reaction (Flat → Warm → Hot → Red Hot). A 4-star match with a quiet crowd reads very differently from a 4-star match that brought the house down — now you can tell which is which at a glance.
- "Why it worked" line. Each segment gets a one-line read: "Carried by the work — strong match, quiet room," "Crowd carried it — hot reaction, ordinary match," "Firing on all cylinders," and more.
- Quality vs. Business. The star rating (critical quality) and the money (gate, TV, attendance, net) are now clearly separated — a great-but-low-drawing show and a workrate-dud-that-printed-money read as the two different stories they are.
- Cleaner stars — removed a confusing hover number; the raw scores still live in the Score Breakdown.
📋 Booking & Show Flow
- Run a show, see the results — right on the booking sheet. After a show, the card updates with the actual graded segments instead of leaving pre-show projections on screen. Tiles flip to "Final Card Results," labels change from "Expected" to "Result," and completed segments dim so it's obvious the show is in the books.
- New show-recap banner. When a show wraps, you get a clean recap up top — final rating + grade, the Match of the Night, and one-click View Full Results / Book Next Show.
- The right rail goes live. After a run, it shows your real gate, attendance, and net profit (relabeled "Final" / "Net Profit"), not the old projection.
⚔️ TV Wars, Promises & Weekly Fallout
- Go head-to-head and you'll feel it. Same-night TV wars and clashing PPVs now show up in your show results and weekly recap — including how the audience split between the two shows and what it did to your rating and gate.
- The world pushes back — and now you see it. Kept and broken promises, bad press, locker-room fractures, team chemistry, and head-to-head clashes all roll into a clear weekly rundown instead of happening silently in the background.
- Break your word, pay for it. When a promise falls through, the wrestler's morale and trust take a visible hit — and they'll remember it.
👥 Teams, Stables & Factions
- Tag teams and stables are organized into one cleaner Teams area.
- Deeper factions. Support for bigger groups, clearer leaders, and rules for who belongs — and your custom stables survive export and re-import intact.
- Honest tension. A shaky stable is flagged as at-risk, but low unity no longer means someone's guaranteed to turn on the group next week.
🧰 Show Card Builder
- Full previews again. Auto-book previews no longer get clipped or cut off at the bottom.
- Dropped confusing internal jargon (like "heuristic" and "shaky") for plain language.
- Know why a segment is weak. When a part of the card is projected to underperform, the builder now explains why in plain English — and how to make it better.
🛠️ World Editor
A major polish and onboarding pass.
- The blue is back. Editor pages were reading as dark/black slabs — every page is now the proper navy blue, consistently, across the whole editor.
- A front door for new modders. An intent picker on open ("tweak my save," "build a world," "import a pack"), a clearer Simple ↔ Full Studio toggle, task recipes on Home, a Ctrl+K search hint, and an in-editor explainer for how Push / Pull / Save Template actually work.
- People, unified. Wrestlers and Staff now live as lanes inside a single People hub instead of duplicate, half-working sidebar entries.
- Consistent tabs. Catalog switchers (Match Types / Gimmicks / etc.) moved to a clean top bar instead of cluttering the list column.
- Clearer "your edits are a draft until you Push" messaging, and friendlier "fix this in People/Promotions" validation links.
📅 Calendar & Advancing Time
- No more running a show early. You can't Run or Watch a show before its scheduled date — book that PPV weeks out, but you'll need to reach show day to run it. (Fixes shows getting marked "completed" in the future.)
- Time won't skip your show. Advancing no longer fast-forwards past a booked-but-unrun show — you're prompted to run it first, with a one-click "Run & Advance."
- Advancing is clearer. "Advance to Show" and "Advance to PPV" now tell you up front when a show still needs to be booked or run first, and your date, booking sheet, and next show all stay lined up.
- Booking moves on with you. After a show runs, you're taken to your next unbooked card instead of getting stuck on one you already ran.
- Calendar buttons and tooltips were renamed and cleaned up so "jump to," "view details," and "advance" are no longer easy to mix up.
🐛 More Fixes & Stability
- Save before you quit. Closing the game during an active save now warns you about unsaved progress, with Save & Exit / Exit / Cancel.
- Numerous smaller consistency, layout, and copy fixes throughout the game and editor.
As always — this is Early Access, and your feedback shapes what we fix next. Thanks for playing.
