Update 12 is here! This time, rather than introducing one major new system, this update focuses on numerous gameplay, quality-of-life, exploration and overall polish improvements, along with several fixes.
🤖 Improved Blaster Targeting
The Gravity-Lock Bracelet's automatic targeting system has been improved.
Defeated Space Bots, destroyed nests and already-broken crates can no longer be targeted by new projectiles.
This makes firing several shots in quick succession much smoother, as projectiles will no longer fly toward targets that have already been destroyed.
Targeting for moving crates has also been improved so projectiles can properly follow their actual position.
📦 More Crates & Resources
The number of crates available throughout the game has been increased.
The goal is to make resource gathering more enjoyable and reduce the amount of time required to collect enough crystals to purchase the various upgrades.
🛸 The Smuggler Is Traveling!
The Smuggler can now be found in every biome.
We can imagine that he's traveling from place to place too! More importantly, this means you no longer have to make the long journey back to the station whenever you need his services or want to restock.
🥚 Explore the Laboratory Roof!
New climbing routes have been added, allowing you to reach the top of the laboratory.
And since exploration deserves a reward, 3 new Bonus Eggs have been hidden on the laboratory. It's up to you to figure out how to reach them!
🏁 New Ring Race
A new Ring Race has been added to the game.
More races and new rewards will gradually be added to expand this system in future updates.
🚪 Clearer Door Unlock Notifications
When solving a puzzle unlocks a specific door, a new notification can now tell you exactly which door has been unlocked.
This will be particularly useful in rooms containing multiple doors, so players no longer have to search around to figure out which one was opened.
This system will also be used for future puzzles, biomes and rooms.
🌊 Underwater Biome Puzzle Fix
An additional safeguard has been added to the cube puzzle in the underwater biome.
The cube should no longer be able to fall into the void after the area is unloaded and loaded again.
🚪 Smoother Movement
Some doorways had small edges near the floor that could occasionally interfere with Aéro's movement.
Small ramps have been added to the most problematic areas to make moving through these doorways smoother.
Update 12 is therefore mainly focused on polishing the overall experience: making exploration more rewarding, movement smoother, progression less time-consuming and the different gameplay systems more enjoyable to use.
Thank you for continuing to play Aéro: Speedrun Labyrinthe, and have fun! 💜🚀
