Battles

  • Dragged formations now order themselves: shields take the front rank, unshielded melee the middle, ranged the rear. Squares and circles do the same by ring, shields on the outside, bows in the core
  • Soldiers in a shield wall keep facing the wall's front while they move, and only turn when they engage
  • Esc now closes the battle pause menu as well as opening it
  • 'Take All' on the prisoner screen now fills your capacity with the most valuable captives first, lord included

Overworld

  • Bandits can no longer jump you during the landfall opening. The world holds off until the first fight is done
  • The men now eat a spread of up to three food types a day instead of draining one type to zero, so a varied larder actually improves cohesion
  • The top-bar food days and wage bill react properly to food rations and wage settings
  • Unit types with every member wounded no longer vanish from the Army tab. They show as "x 0 (3 wounded)" until the men are back on their feet

Quests

  • The camp bounty no longer dead-ends when a lord burns the camp before you get there. The job fails honestly in your journal and the sergeant points you at a fresh bounty at another town

Interface

  • Every font size now lands on the pixel grid, so text renders crisp instead of split between pixels. The quest tracker and events log keep their compact size by choice
  • Icons got a size pass: item, stat and skill icons draw at a uniform doubled size, tab glyphs match, and unit thumbnails are bigger on every screen
  • Unit thumbnails now centre the unit in the frame, the same way the battle selection cards do
  • The skill tree no longer grows a needless vertical scrollbar, and its horizontal one is visible without scrolling down
  • The market quantity slider ignores the mouse wheel, so the wheel scrolls the list again
  • The marketplace column headers are pinned: Town's Stock and Your Inventory with their silver counts stay visible while the goods list scrolls
  • The town header is tighter: name, tier and population share one line with the speciality chip, freeing vertical space for the panels below

A veteran raised to vassal keeps his face as a lord, on the hall of the fief he holds. A face is rolled once…
