We are excited to announce that the v.271 update will include Spanish Language Support as a beta service.
Spanish Language Support Policy
The following policies apply to the Spanish Language Support beta service:
- English is the official language of MapleStory while Spanish is provided as a beta service.
- Names such as NPCs, monsters, items, classes, and quests will remain in English. Their descriptions will be translated into Spanish.
- In-game UI will remain in English.
- Some special content, including third-party content, will remain in English.
- Spanish translations are provided through automated translation technology optimized for MapleStory content.
Changing Languages
You can switch between English and Spanish from:
- The Character Selection screen in the top left corner.
- Settings UI → Game tab → Language Settings option.
When selecting Spanish for the first time, a notice about the beta language service will appear and must be accepted before using Spanish. This notice will only appear the first time you select Spanish. If you switch back to English and later select Spanish again, the notice will not appear again.
Please note that the game client must be restarted after selecting 'Agree and Continue' for the language change to take effect.
Notice
As Spanish Language Support is currently in beta, some translated content may differ from the original English text or contain inaccuracies. Official policies, notices, Terms of Service, and other important information are based on the English version. In the event of any discrepancy between a translated version and the English source text, the English version will take precedence.
