Hi!
It's time for another SITREP update which covers the development progression in August.
The format here is the usual, so categorizing these topics to each upcoming build that has received some development hours recently.
Build 2 (Nomads) is relatively close to the finish line and there's only few topics left from the content that I have planned for this build. The missing elements are mostly tied to polishing the new maps, fine-tuning the AI vs. AI combat mechanics, adding some new task-based items and playtesting the build.
Many of you are probably wondering when this Build 2 is going to be released, so I'm happy now to announce that the release date will be shared on this new game show called FPS Games Show that I'm participating in Sept 3.
FPS Games Show is a brand new concept that only focuses on FPS related titles and there's going to be all kinds of updates, reveals and trailers from multiple different studios.
Road to Vostok has a small segment in this show which includes a short intro and teaser about the Build 2 + it's release date announcement.
Here's some links to the show if you're interested:

Here's also a quick screenshot of Road to Vostok intro that I filmed some weeks ago for the show:
I also decided to grab few additional screenshots from that teaser which showcases multiple elements that I discussed in the previous SITREP.
Here's for example the Nomads and how they will look in-game since I haven't shared those before if I remember correctly:
Here's the new shelter called Garage which I also talked about in the previous SITREP:
Here's some new items that are going to be part of Build 2:
Then there's the new trader called Driver and his bus that randomly changes places in the game world:
When it comes to new maps in Build 2, here's some details about those.
First there's the new map / crossing point called Bridge, which introduces an optional route to Vostok and requires a bit of platforming instead of avoiding those mines that everybody likes :)
I approached this bridge topic by making modular pieces where I can change the bridge layout really quickly if needed or even make it dynamically changing in each map visit in the future.
Here's some examples of those modular bridge pieces:
This example showcases when the modular pieces are connected and then there will also be additional hazards on top of the bridge like barbed wire etc:
Here's a quick example how the Bridge might look at certain configuration in-game:
Then another new map is a Vostok map called Airfield. This map is now mostly ready and I'm quite happy how it turned out visually:
In the last SITREP, I also shared some clues about the special boss called Bogeyman. I originally planned to keep him secret until the FPS Game Show premieres, but I couldn't help myself so here's a first look at the Bogeyman:
Build 4 (Gunslinger) which is all about the weapon overhauls and doing ~50 custom-made weapons from scratch is also progressing nicely.
Pretty much each week there's new weapons rolling in and here's some of the new ones that I haven't shared yet.

KS-23 + MOD:
To end this SITREP, here's few final things worth mentioning:
RTV will participate in Steam Autumn Sale and there will be 25% discount
This discount will nicely "blend" together with Build 2 release window
I will take ~1 week short break starting today, so I'm ready for the final development push in September which is going to be a tight month in multiple ways
Pretty much all the RTV merch store product designs are now completed
Merch store details and additional info comes once the Build 2 is released and stable :)
Here's some example of designs that will be part of RTV velcro patches in that merch store:
Have a great upcoming weekend and hopefully this SITREP provided some nice insights for the development of Road to Vostok from this August.
