The Online Character Vault Is Now in Beta
Build, save, import, export, and print your characters from the new Fantasy Grounds Character Vault.
Every Fantasy Grounds user—including players who use Fantasy Grounds through Steam—now has access to the Free Vault with three character slots. Sign in with the Fantasy Grounds account you use for your games to get started.
- Build and update characters in your browser using eligible books linked to your Fantasy Grounds account.
- Import character XML from Fantasy Grounds Unity.
- Print a character sheet or use the online sheet.
- Export your updated character back to Fantasy Grounds Unity.
- Keep up to three characters in the Free Vault at no additional cost.
The beta currently supports Dungeons & Dragons 5E, Pathfinder 1E, Pathfinder 2E, Starfinder 2E, and the Cosmere Roleplaying Game. We will continue refining the builders and expanding their capabilities throughout the beta.
More Room for Players and GMs
For users who want more capacity or campaign tools, optional Character Vault memberships add larger vaults and sponsored campaign characters.
- Player Vault: 12 character slots with campaign management. Any of the 12 slots can be used to sponsor a campaign character.
- GM Vault: 50 character slots with campaign management. Any of the 50 slots can be used to sponsor a campaign character.
Sponsored characters let a GM invite players to build and maintain characters for a campaign using sourcebooks the GM owns and approves.
Player Vault and GM Vault are optional memberships managed through FantasyGrounds.com. They are separate from Steam DLC and are not required to use the three-slot Free Vault.
