Hypercore: Rhythm Bullet Hell Roadmap - September/October

Hi everyone !
Here's the HyperCore Roadmap for september and October:

Quality of Life & Features

Currently in the Works:

  • Game Over Leaderboards: Putting your final scores and rank right on the results screen so you don't have to hunt for them.
  • UI Overhauls: Redesigning both the Settings and Leaderboards UI to be way cleaner and easier to navigate.
  • Better Leaderboard Filtering: Adding quick toggles for Global, Friends, and Surrounding scores, plus smarter overall sorting.
  • Player Profiles & Stats: PPScore, custom Player Profile UI, Run Rankings, and letting you inspect other players' stats.
  • Clarity Improvements: Making Campaign objectives and Infinite Mode stages way easier to understand at a glance.
  • Precision Mode Polish: Removing that strict on-beat limitation for sidestepping so movement feels much tighter.
  • New Tutorial: Reworking how we introduce mechanics to help new players get up to speed faster.

Planned Down the Road:

  • Controls customization.
  • Focus Mode toggle.
  • Replays!
  • Perfect Synchronization Ranked!

Campaign Refinements

Currently in the Works:

  • Novice Difficulty: A no-death campaign option for when you just want to vibe and practice.
  • Smoothing the Curve: Flattening out the difficulty curvein the current campaign so progression feels far more natural.

Planned Down the Road:

  • Master Difficulty: An absolute gauntlet unlocked only after you clear Expert.
  • Campaign+ Mode: Escalating difficulty that scales as you push further.
  • Campaign Leaderboards: Dedicated scoring for story levels.
  • Visual & Beatmap Polish: Continuous touch-ups to level environments, visuals, and track layouts.

Issues being looked into

  • Leaderboard Syncing: Fixing that annoying issue where updated scores occasionally fail to post.
  • Precision Mode Bullets: Resolving a bug causing bullets to count inconsistently between runs.

Massive thanks to everyone dropping feedback, reporting bugs, and playing the game. It helps us out tremendously!
