Updates notes for version 0.7.2

Skyline Playtest · published 27 days ago

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

This update brings stronger base operations, network planning, service chains,
aircraft trading, and competitor strategy. It also adds a used-aircraft market,
Indonesian founding jurisdiction support, and broad English and Polish
localization. Long-running games now run more smoothly, and older saves keep
their history and competitor information.

Added

- Base operations now begin from the globe, and your active base is shared
across Routes, Fleet, Crew, Orders, and Network Planning.
- Added permanent outstations with their own aircraft, crew, parking, and rebase
requirements.
- Base setup, operating, and disposal costs now appear in your journal,
cash-flow statement, and monthly close.
- Added one-way service chains and onward destination planning, so you can build
more complex multi-leg networks beyond traditional return-to-hub flying.
- Added Network Planning filters for passenger demand, competition, runway
length, and route distance, making it easier to find viable markets around the
world.
- Expanded competitor intelligence in Network Planning and the Almanac with
rival plans, market beliefs, competitive pressure, planned routes,
expansion blockers, and recent activity.
- AI airlines now build seasonal plans for network expansion, pricing, capacity,
fleet needs, connecting passengers, secondary hubs, and changing finances.
- Added a used-aircraft market with changing supply, outside market conditions,
individual sellers, aircraft offers, and purchases that complete in one step.
- You can now sell and negotiate aircraft directly from Fleet and the aircraft
acquisition workspaces.
- Added Indonesian DGCA jurisdiction support during airline founding.
- Added English and Polish throughout the game, including founding, routes,
fleet, crew, finance, orders, brand, manufacturers, Almanac, planning,
tutorials, notifications, reports, settings, and live operations.
- Added tools for future community translations, including aviation terminology,
accessibility text, translation review, contributor terms, and optional
localization credits.

Changed

- Chained services now stay together throughout route lists, timetable planning,
route performance, Fleet Dispatch, and Auto Schedule.
- Auto Schedule now plans complete multi-leg service chains together, preserving
their operating base and avoiding partial schedules.
- Auto Schedule now uses one scheduling workflow with safer updates to active
operations.
- Route Planning now gives clearer choices when you extend a network, including
return-to-hub, onward leg, return flight, and one-way options.
- Opening and managing bases now has clearer airport search, candidate
comparison, and expansion planning.
- Fleet, Crew, Orders, and Network Planning controls now follow your selected
operating base more consistently.
- New and used aircraft purchases now share a clearer workflow for market
selection, financing, contracts, cabin configuration, and exchanges.
- Market listings, reservations, exchanges, and purchases now stay in sync, so
available aircraft and completed deals match what you see.
- Language selection now checks saved preferences, Steam language, and browser
settings before the game first appears.
- Long-running games now run more smoothly, while competitor decisions stay
consistent from one save to the next.
- Competitor airlines now review your complete schedule and wider market demand
when making strategic decisions.
- Competitor planning now accounts for route roles, seasonal patterns, fleet
needs, aircraft financing, secondary hubs, connecting passengers, and
emergency or quarterly reviews.

Fixed

- Auto Schedule no longer breaks existing aircraft rotations or rebuilds ferry
legs incorrectly.
- Auto Schedule no longer splits or partially assigns service chains, or turns
them into ferry work when a complete assignment is unavailable.
- Maintenance recovery no longer causes cascading cancellations or loses
substitute-aircraft continuity.
- Service chains now keep their selected aircraft type while you plan onward
legs.
- Aircraft from incompatible operating bases no longer appear as options for
chained services.
- Fleet Dispatch now treats linked flights as one complete service chain.
- Route Performance now shows a service chain as one route instead of separate
legs.
- Base and network planning no longer lose airport preferences, route scope,
service-chain state, or globe interactions.
- Fleet and Crew base controls now show the correct panels, standby dates, and
workstations.
- Airport curfews are now respected by competitor schedules and connection
planning.
- Older saves now keep their history and competitor information after
airport-curfew updates.
- The world map and competitor traffic now recover when traffic information is
unavailable.
- Cabin presets now preserve the complete cabin design when you save, share, or
load them.
- Long-route warnings and planning prompts now stay focused on decisions that
affect the operation.
- Used-aircraft listings now return correctly when you load an older game.
- Used-aircraft exchange screens now show seller portraits and signatory
information correctly.
- Older weekly games now keep their history and competitor plans when loaded.
- The game now starts with your chosen language even if profile settings cannot
be saved.
- Restored missing or incorrect Polish text across Orders, Brand, aircraft
catalogs, and aircraft lead-time messages.
- Localized text and accessibility labels now work correctly in Route Details
and notifications.
- Malang Airport is now assigned to the Malang passenger-demand market.
