New

  • Mac support — Dungeons & Donuts now runs on macOS (Intel; Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2). Co-op works across Mac and Windows.
  • Three new regions: the Swamp, the Enchanted Forest, and Deephold — the dwarven under-mountain — each with its own landmarks, weather, and enemies.
  • The Goblin War Camp — a sprawling war-host to raid, with tents and structures that smash into pieces.
  • Swamp bosses and events, including the Swamp Witch: an arena fight with teleports, hex storms, and a mire that won't let you leave.
  • World map and minimap, with map fragments to discover.
  • The Last Crumb is now your main home and return destination. Multiplayer hosting and joining are available at the table beside the quest board, marked with a new sign.
  • Expedition loot recovery — recoverable satchels, checkpoint recovery, and warnings before abandoning unbanked treasure.

Power & progression

  • Essences expanded to three per equipment slot (36 total) — bought at the Gem Master, earned through lifetime milestones, or chased from bosses and champions.
  • Ring, Necklace, and Trinket essences added — and trinkets now show on your belt.
  • Guild Kitchen doubled: 55 new recipes (15 potions, 15 meals, 25 donuts), each donut with its own rule.
  • Roguelite power-ups.
  • Three General Skills paths activated, including their passives: Second Wind saves you from a lethal hit once per fight, Bulwark reduces frontal damage, and Field Medic shares potion healing with nearby allies.
  • Newly unlocked abilities now appear on your ability bar immediately, without reloading the scene.

World & feel

  • Weather overhaul: rain, wind, cold, and day/night lighting.
  • Added local arcane-storm warnings for approaching danger, exposure, shelter, and clearing weather.
  • Caves are dark, moody places again.
  • Foliage no longer blocks you — bushes, reeds, and roots are walk-through.
  • Both menu screens now feature a black background and the Dungeons & Donuts logo bouncing around the screen.
  • Improved player idle gestures, goblin movement, and tavern NPC animations, including patrons sipping ale.
  • Added a colorful pixel burst and a large YOU DIED message on death.
  • Clearer Rime Stalker hunt guidance, with a map search area, minimap direction arrow, and glowing frost clues.

Fixes

  • Removed FMOD and rebuilt audio around Unity's native systems, addressing missing sound effects, effects fading out over time, and volume-slider issues.
  • Fixed severe frame drops (0-FPS stalls) in boss and event fights.
  • Ranged enemies no longer deal "contact" damage from across the room; standing near shamans no longer hurts you.
  • Number-row and numpad keys are now interchangeable for abilities and flasks.
  • Removed the outdated Foundations / Sow a Field objective and stale quest pins.
  • Removed the extra multiplayer innkeeper from The Last Crumb.
  • Fixed terrain traps, jump exploits, and gaps around the tavern.
  • Fixed a poison and bleeding edge case when Second Wind activates.
