The PARAGON 21 Steam page opened today. This is the first time I'm showing it.
The game started as a bar argument. "Who wins, Yi Sun-sin or Caesar?" Everyone's had that conversation. There's never an answer, because they were centuries apart. I wanted to find out.
So I pulled eight warlords out of eight centuries and put them in one arena, one on one. They fight with 21. Draw cards, hit exactly 21, and your technique fires. Chain it to 31, then 41, and the multiplier stacks.
Where it's at: the rules and combat work. This video is the proof.
Yi Sun-sin takes down Spartacus in two hits.
The eight at launch are Yi Sun-sin, Xiang Yu, Miyamoto Musashi, Genghis Khan, Alexander, Hannibal, Julius Caesar and Spartacus. There's also one with no name. He starts with nothing and takes what he beats.
Being honest: the art is placeholder, cards included. Rules first, paint later. I'm making this alone in Seoul.
Next is the demo. Late September, and I'll post here when it's up.
If you read this far, a wishlist helps. It's what tells me to keep going.
