It's been a heavy few weeks in the house. Here's what changed:
The outside world is graded as moonlight now. Lanterns, firelight and your own spells are the only warm things left. Everything else runs cold and blue, the way a haunted house ought to look.
Your grimoire always looked like an object you owned, but nothing else did. Now everything does!
The pause screen, settings, milestones, your inventory, confirmation popups, the main menu, the load game screen, the HUD panels, the spell bar, dialogue choices, the mailbox letter and the spell wheel are all bound in the same aged paper.
The inventory grids are wider, so a full collection fits without scrolling, and the smallest text has grown enough that nothing needs squinting at.
You run faster, and dashing kicks up a trail of dust behind you. Smaller puffs indoors, so you don't fog up your own hallways.
Ghost dashing no longer interrupts gathering. Scoop up resources at full speed.
Scares, casts and grabs land with real weight behind them.
Unlocking a feat drops a plaque on screen with a chime.
Wiring up a factory connection answers back with a sound and a pulse of light running down the line.
Hovering an item shows its tooltip with no clicking, the mouse wheel rotates a placement preview, and an arrow shows you which way it will face before you set it down.
The inventory opens with Tab.
The HUD no longer hands you every panel on your first night.
The satisfaction bar, the ghosts panel and the undertakers panel each stay hidden until you have unlocked the thing they track.
Milestone rewards that had no description now have one, and unlocks you cannot afford grey out with the cost you are short on marked in red.
Feet no longer sink into rugs, roads and dirt.
Rotated items sit on their placement squares instead of beside them, and have an arrow for direction
Enki's summoning glyphs fold along walls instead of cutting through them.
Guests stopped doubling up their screams, and kids scream like kids now, from their own set.
The occasional freeze while the world loads in is gone.
Chester and Wynn have their own tails back, and both of them can see straight.
The Ghost Hearse achievement is no longer missing from the list.
Steam stats and achievements report as you play.
Steam Deck gets larger quest tracker text, and its menu arrows read as arrows instead of empty boxes.
