Krush Kill 'N Destroy Xtreme · published · build 24229655
Welcome back to Hell, soldier. Nearly 30 years after its original release, the 2026 Update for Krush Kill ‘N Destroy Xtreme is now live for all players, and it brings online multiplayer to the wasteland at last.
Developed in collaboration with longtime KKND community developer Andre “IceReaper” Mohren, this update graduates from open beta to become the default version of the game. Whether you side with the Survivors or the Evolved, you can now take the fight online and battle your friends over Steam. No LAN cables, no dial-up modems, no mercy.
As we champion physical and digital game preservation at Ziggurat:
A physical Display Edition is available now from the official Reboxy store, with a Classic Edition to follow.
We have also preserved the game in its original form (no longer officially supported) on a new 'legacy' branch selectable from 'Game Versions & Betas'.
Online multiplayer support for modern systems through Steam — host or join matches directly from the multiplayer menu.
A new launcher for tweaking game settings before you deploy.
Windowed mode (Alt+Enter) and additional playable resolutions, all the way up to 4K.
Additional language versions — French and German, selectable through the launcher.
Repairable bunkers — bunker units can now be repaired, so dig in and hold the line.
Pistol sound effect restored — it now plays as intended when units use pistols.
Fixes to crash bugs and other known issues for a smoother ride across the irradiated wastes.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined the closed and open betas over the past months. Your bug reports, multiplayer matches, and feedback shaped this release.
To celebrate the update, KKND Xtreme is 60% off from August 14 through August 28 as part of the Ziggurat retro catalogue sale, and you can grab both games together in the Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 1 & 2 bundle for an additional discount. Now is the perfect time to bring a friend to the wasteland.
