We're happy to announce that sign-ups for Eldritch Escape’s first public Steam Playtest are now officially open!
The playtest will run from May 22 to May 29, 2025, giving players a full week to descend into the void, experiment with squad builds, extract valuable loot, and survive against endless eldritch horrors.
Eldritch Escape is a Lovecraftian Extraction Bullet Heaven where Earth has already been consumed by an ancient god. Form a squad of survivors, explore decaying worlds trapped within the void, fight through relentless hordes, manage your oxygen supply, and search for a way out before the void claims you forever.
The goal of this first public test is to gather honest feedback on combat feel, balance, progression, UI clarity, squad systems, and the overall extraction gameplay loop.
Squad Building - Choose three survivors from a growing roster, combine their abilities, and promote a leader to unlock powerful squad-wide effects.
Extraction Gameplay - Push deeper into the void for better loot, or retreat before losing everything. If you die, your dropped loot remains behind until you recover it.
Secondary Weapons - Discover unique weapons during expeditions that evolve your strategy and dramatically alter your playstyle.
Modules & Buildcrafting - Equip modules of different rarities to customize your stats, synergies, and combat approach.
Settlement Growth - Expand your settlement to unlock vendors, upgrades, tasks, and new progression opportunities between runs.
Hand-Crafted Worlds - Explore uniquely designed worlds filled with NPCs, hidden areas, bosses, vendors, and ancient places of power.
20-Minute Expeditions - Fast-paced runs built around exploration, survival, extraction, and constant risk-reward decisions.
