We've been reading your feedback since the demo launched, and this update is the result: a revamped base-building phase, new progression systems, and a bunch of quality-of-life fixes. Here's what's new.
The base building phase has a visual overhaul - clearer building silhouettes and better readability when your lair gets packed tight. Squeezing goblins, shamans, and dragons into every tile should now feel as good as it looks.
Runs now build toward something bigger. Earn currency as you play and spend it between runs to grow stronger and unlock new options. Want a clean slate instead? A new progression reset option lets you start your evil career from scratch.
No more hoping the RNG gods are kind to you. You can now pick your starting building types when a run begins, letting you lean into a strategy from turn one.
The fight phase now features new biomes, adding fresh visual variety to your battles as minions clash with waves of heroes.
After each battle, a new summary screen recaps how it went, no more guessing what turned the tide.
The tutorial has been overhauled to be clearer for new players, especially when it comes to the building depth at the heart of the game.
Buildings, synergies, and combat have been tuned based on your feedback, for fairer fights and more viable strategies.
The demo is now available in Portuguese and Japanese, alongside our existing language support.
Keep the feedback coming! Bug reports, balance complaints, and screenshots of your most absurd lair layouts are all welcome.
Download the updated demo now and get back to defending your home from people who really should learn to knock.
