Following the September 3 update, we identified an issue that affected the fairness of Guild Defense Battle: Prism Season 2.
First, I sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this issue has caused to Captains participating in Guild Defense Battle.
We would like to explain what happened, what we found during our investigation, and how we plan to address the issue.
During Guild Defense Battle: Prism Season 2, we found that additional [Savior Party Deployment Seals] purchased before the end of the previous season were carried over into the new season.
As a result, some Captains who had purchased additional Savior Party Deployment Seals during the previous season began the new season with more than the intended starting amount.
This allowed them to enter EX Stages more times than intended and, in some cases, earn more points than would normally have been possible.
After identifying the issue, we conducted a full review of the relevant records to determine its impact. Our investigation confirmed that this issue occurred only on the Global server.
Regardless of the scale of the issue, this was my responsibility. We failed to properly verify how entry items would be retained and reset during the season transition.
Guild Defense Battle is competitive content where fairness is especially important, and we should have ensured that every Captain started the season under the same conditions. I sincerely apologize for failing to do so.
The carryover of [Savior Party Deployment Seals] into the next season is not an intended feature. Starting with future Guild Defense Battle seasons, all Captains will begin each new season with the standard amount of 2 [Savior Party Deployment Seals], regardless of any additional Seals remaining from the previous season.
To apologize for the inconvenience caused by this issue, we will provide the following compensation after the September 10 update:
500 Stellagems
In addition, we will provide further compensation to Captains on the Global server whose ranking competition may have been affected by this issue.
After the current Guild Defense Battle ends, Captains on the Global server who earn the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Place Guild Defense Battle Frame will additionally receive all three ranking Frames: 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place.
Captains who earn the Guild Defense Battle Top 10 Frame will additionally receive the 3rd Place Frame.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the confusion and inconvenience caused by an issue affecting the fairness of competitive content.
To prevent this from happening again, we will strengthen our review process for season transitions and entry-related items.
