Air support just landed - and what the Kharzeth do instead

Three tiers, one aircraft

The Humans call in a transport plane:

  • Recon flight - a high pass over any spot on the map you pick
  • Tank delivery - reinforcements, here, now, exactly where you want them
  • Bomb run - devastating. You get one.

The interesting part is the cooldown. Do you save the delivery, or spend it now and risk not having
it when you really need it?

The Kharzeth have no aircraft

So they tear the world open instead. Same idea, thought from the other side.

Fissure gives you twenty seconds of clear sight anywhere on the map. No flight that has to
arrive, no scout you can lose. The ground splits, and for twenty seconds you see what is standing
there.

That holds for both sides throughout: they don't mirror each other. They harvest differently, they
build differently, and their support does different things.

The plane took longer than the feature

Position lights, engine sound, landing lights, exhaust trail on the climb-out. A grey box crossing
the sky in silence is not an aircraft. Every sound in the game comes out of a tool I built for it.

Iron Command is a classic base-building RTS - on your monitor, or from inside the battlefield in VR.
Coming spring 2027. If that sounds like your kind of thing, the wishlist button is right up there.

Discovering those two for the first time is one of the memories that stuck with me most from the old Command & Conquer games. If you played them, you know this pair on sight - and you know which one you keep behind the other. They are at their best against organic creatures. They can hurt vehicles…Community21 Aug 2026The crystals are the seed - how the economy in Iron Command worksA resource that grows back - if you let it Most base builders hand you a pile that runs out. You mine it, it's gone, you move on to the next one. Iron Command does something else, and it changes what you do with a map. Rifts and crystal fields Riftstone comes out of rifts - tears in the ground where the stuff pushes through. Around every rift lies a field of crystals , and the rift grows that f…
