BOTTLECAPEPRS DEMO IS OUT NOW

Hi Bottlecappers,

I've been working on this game for a while now, in the evenings and on weekends whenever I can. I think the best way to explain what kind of game it is, and whether you might like it, is simply to let you play it. So the demo is out.

The demo lets you play a full, winnable run. The only real limitation is that you play with one investor, the first one: the Cortesu Family. The progression tree that unlocks the other investors is closed for now.

Beyond letting you try the game, the point of this demo is to gather information on balancing and on the experience in general, so any feedback is welcome. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope it can spark some discussion about how to improve the game and where to take it, with the full release planned for the first quarter of 2027.

What's in the demo

One complete run: you start with a single cork line and can grow all the way to composites, with the whole unlock progression open. Three materials, five processing levels, and the repair minigames when something jams. A run takes between an hour and a half and two hours, and it ends either when you buy back every share or when your investor stops believing in you. Available in English, Italian and nine other languages.

What comes next

The full game will have all six investors, each watching a different indicator and each demanding a different kind of factory, plus the complete unlock tree. The work I'm doing right now is on depth: making sure that picking a different investor doesn't just change the number you're watching, but the factory you end up building.

Where this demo comes from

Over the last two weeks a handful of testers played it, and they all told me the same thing in different ways: the game works, but it wasn't explaining itself well enough. I spent that time rewriting the tutorial, making visible the systems the game already had but never showed, and removing friction where there was too much of it. If you get stuck somewhere, tell me. That's exactly the kind of report I need.

I'm a solo developer working evenings. Thanks for giving it a try.
