Hey everyone! We wanted to take a moment and update a little about the release of Eyes on Me.
We'll start with the fact that the development in general is going great! The game is in good shape, it has a lot of content already, and we are doing our best to show the progress here, in the demo and other places. We originally hoped to release the game in August or September, but the response to the demo was much bigger than we expected. More than 50,000 people have played it on Steam(!!!!), and we received a lot of feedback from the community.
After going through that feedback, we felt that releasing the game now wouldn’t be the right decision. We want to take some extra time to improve the parts you pointed out, polish the overall experience, and add more content to the full game. We know delays suck, but we are really sure it's worth it.
We want to be super open about our thought process here: At the moment, we are looking at (and planning/hoping) to release in November 2026. That being said, there is a problem we face (again, we want to share those very openly) and that is that late November and December are pretty much a no-go for indie games releases. With all the AAA games releasing, GTA (if it ever does ha ha) and holidays, it's just a window that we can't do. Plus, there’s still quite a bit of work to do. So, we are really working hard and doing everything we can towards making it in November, but if we fail (and we actually might), we would need to move the release to early 2027.
November is the goal, but we don’t want to promise a date until we’re sure we can deliver.
We also know that we haven’t always been as clear or consistent with our communication as we should have been in the past, and we don’t want to make the same mistakes again. That’s why we wanted to share this decision with you now, and we’ll keep you updated as development moves forward. Keep an eye on Discord, Steam, and our Socials (we are reworking some of those, but yeah!)
We know that waiting longer isn’t ideal, but the support and feedback we’ve received have made us want to build the best version of Eyes on Me that we can.
Thank you for playing the demo, sharing your thoughts, and sticking with us.
We’ll have more to show you soon!
PS: If you didn't send us feedback yet and you want to, here is a link to a feedback form - we would welcome it! https://forms.gle/ST5iNjWn4Lc6gze1A
