Grand Cru: The Wine Maker — v0.10.1 Update
Bonjour, winemakers!
A point update that brings your market to life — and clears up one of the sneakiest traps in the deal room.
New — Market Visitors
- A Face at the Stall — Some seasons a stranger now turns up at your market: a wine student, a travelling chef, a foreign importer, and — rarely — a collector whose name you already know. Each visit is a small envelope to open.
- Rarity & Réseau — Visitors come in tiers, from everyday callers to once-in-a-long-while encounters. Growing your Réseau (networking) skill tilts the odds toward the rarer faces — but even a beginner can, once in a blue moon, meet a legend.
- Offers, Tips & Wagers — They might bring a reward, a piece of market intel, an introduction to a buyer next season, or a wager. One even bets on your palate: "Let's see if your tongue is as good as your wine." Your Tasting skill tilts that one in your favour.
- Sealed for the Season — Each encounter is decided when the season turns, so reloading won't re-roll your luck. What comes to your door is yours to take or leave.
Legibility & Fixes
- The Hypermarket Ceiling, Made Visible — Hypermarkets never pay for wines above a certain score, but the compatibility meter used to show a cheerful green ★ anyway — luring you into a negotiation that burned an action point and then collapsed. The meter now warns you before you sit down.
- Honest Deliveries — Wine-delivery encounters now draw from your actual cellar and cost real bottles, closing a loophole that handed out free cash.
- Clearer Deal Copy — Buyer and channel-mismatch messages rewritten across all 11 languages for a straighter read.
Santé, and may your next visitor be a good one.
