Last week we opened the Going My Way? playtest, and we're still blown away by your response. Thank you to everyone who gave it a shot, played the demo, and filled out the feedback form.
– 30% of players jumped in because of the visuals
– another 30% loved the dark atmosphere
– 20% just enjoy horror games
– and the rest were hooked by the mechanics, moral choices, and everything we love about Papers, Please and Beholder.
We also had some kind souls who actually thought you're supposed to feed the passengers. Not feed the passengers to the train. The train is hungry, you know. Yeah, we dedicated a whole paragraph to these folks below.
We've added more explanations about how the game works and what makes each passenger unique. Hopefully, new players will find it easier to get into the flow now.
Your help didn't go unnoticed. The team has put together a fix list and is working hard on the next version. Most of the issues from the playtest are already gone.
If you missed the playtest – no worries. Today kicks off the Steam Next Fest demo festival. And yes, we're in!
Thanks again for your support and feedback.
The train keeps rolling!
