Turbo Era Boss Update 0.8.7 builds on the broadcast presentation from 0.8.5 and gives every race weekend a stronger sense of place and consequence.
GROUNDED 1985 CIRCUITS
All 16 circuits from the 1985 calendar now use a grounded, cartoon-styled presentation: the driving line stays on the asphalt, while pits, garages, start/finish markings, buildings, water, vegetation, grandstands and barriers are placed around it rather than floating above the scene. Pit entry and exit playback follows each circuit's access lane, and the timing stripe stays aligned with lap completion and qualifying-lap cues.
RACE PRESENTATION
Cars now use a time-aware racing line that eases through corners, changes lateral position when traffic is close and keeps a readable physical scale. Broadcast and follow-camera views retain the action without changing authoritative race progress. Race cars visibly enter, hold in and leave their garage or pit access at the correct track points.
RACE CONTROL
Race commands now open active by default and share the clearer Qualifying control language. The compact command deck reclaims track space without hiding the selected driver's identity, while the tyre choice is presented as a simple next-set selector distinct from the currently fitted tyre and its wear. Confirmation, pause, playback speeds and keyboard focus remain available.
SETUP CONFIDENCE
Each player car now shows a 0–100% setup confidence score. The first two qualifying outings are fine-tuning passes: driver feedback points to front and rear suspension, wing, gear and tyre trims, and drivers with the Setup Reader trait can apply two trim steps at once. Confidence affects qualifying pace, mistake risk, tyre wear and lap-time variation; the locked result carries those benefits into the race, while a weak baseline still limits the ceiling.
RELEASE QUALITY
The 0.8.7 identity is synchronised across web, desktop and the non-demo Steam Early Access package. Existing career saves remain compatible, and the core performance balance is unchanged outside the new setup-confidence effects.
